For seasons 1-5 of Smallville John Schneider played Superman's dad - Jonathan Kent. It was a perfect role - as John is a super dad in real life.

As of August 2008 - there is some talk of some type of appearence by John in an upcoming episode. We are not sure if it is a flashback scene, etc. - but if we hear more we will let you know here at johnschneideronline.com!
